Dionna Lockett, LMSW, is a compassionate and dedicated social worker who specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Sacred Heart University in 2024 and currently works as a school social worker, where she supports students and families through emotional, behavioral, social, and academic challenges. Dionna brings extensive experience collaborating with youth, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to foster emotional wellness, resilience, and personal growth.
Dionna is passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered. Her therapeutic style is empathetic, engaging, and strengths-based, allowing clients to feel comfortable while working toward meaningful and lasting change. She has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, peer and family conflict, school-related stress, life transitions, and behavioral challenges. Dionna believes in meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs and experiences.
Her clinical approach incorporates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and social-emotional learning strategies. Dionna works collaboratively with clients to build healthy coping skills, strengthen communication and relationships, improve self-awareness, and develop confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
